What the Compliance Tool Checks
The EU AI Act applies to any organisation that uses, deploys, or provides AI systems affecting people in the EU — not just AI developers. Our compliance assessment tool walks you through a guided questionnaire and produces a clear picture of where you stand:
Risk Classification
Each AI system you use is classified as unacceptable, high, limited, or minimal risk under the Act — including Annex III high-risk categories like recruitment and credit scoring.
Applicable Obligations
See which requirements apply to you: Article 50 transparency disclosures, documentation, human oversight, risk management, conformity assessment, and EU registration.
Your Deadlines
A personalised timeline showing which dates matter for your systems — August 2026, December 2026, December 2027, or August 2028.
Action Plan
Concrete next steps prioritised by urgency, so you know what to fix first and what can wait.
How the AI Act Assessment Works
Answer guided questions about your AI
Plain-language questions about the AI tools your organisation uses — chatbots, CV screening, credit models, content generation, analytics. No legal jargon, no technical documentation required.
Get your risk classification instantly
The tool maps each system to the EU AI Act's risk tiers and identifies the specific articles and annexes that apply to your situation.
Receive your compliance action plan
A prioritised list of what to do before each deadline — from adding chatbot disclosures to preparing high-risk documentation. Use it yourself, or work with our advisors to implement it.
Who This Checker Is For
The tool is built for SMEs and mid-sized organisations that use AI but do not have an in-house AI compliance function:
- HR and recruitment — CV screening, interview analysis, workforce management tools (Annex III high-risk)
- Financial services — credit scoring, insurance pricing, fraud detection
- E-commerce and customer service — chatbots and virtual assistants (Article 50 transparency)
- Marketing and media — AI-generated images, video, audio, and copy
- Any company buying AI via SaaS — deployers carry compliance obligations too, not just the vendors who build the AI
Checker vs. Full Compliance Programme
The free checker gives you the essential first step every regulator and advisor recommends: an AI inventory with risk classification. For systems that come out as high-risk, you will then need a structured programme — risk management, data governance, technical documentation, human oversight, and conformity assessment. That is where our advisory services come in, but the assessment itself is free and carries no obligation.

Launch the compliance checkerFrequently Asked Questions
Is the EU AI Act compliance checker really free?+
Yes. The assessment tool is completely free to use. You answer a set of guided questions about the AI systems your organisation uses or provides, and the tool classifies each system by risk level and shows you which EU AI Act obligations and deadlines apply. Paid advisory services are available separately if you need hands-on help implementing the results.
What does the compliance checker assess?+
The checker assesses three things: (1) whether each of your AI systems is unacceptable, high, limited, or minimal risk under the EU AI Act; (2) which specific obligations apply to each system — such as Article 50 transparency disclosures or the full high-risk requirements of Annex III; and (3) which deadlines you need to plan for, including 2 August 2026 for transparency obligations and 2 December 2027 for high-risk AI systems.
How long does the EU AI Act assessment take?+
About 10 minutes for a typical SME. The questions are written in plain language — you do not need legal expertise or a detailed technical understanding of your AI vendors to complete it.
Who is the compliance checker for?+
The tool is designed for SMEs and mid-sized organisations that use or deploy AI — for example in recruitment, customer service, credit decisions, marketing content, or analytics — and need to understand their exposure under the EU AI Act. It works whether you build AI in-house or buy it from SaaS vendors.
Does the tool store my company data?+
The assessment tool does not collect personal user data. Your answers are used to generate your compliance report and are not sold or shared with third parties. See our privacy policy.
